As we reflect on the year, we at EPPSi are filled with gratitude for the progress we've made together. Our commitment to fostering social inclusion has never been stronger, and our collaborative projects have brought us closer to realising our vision. Here’s a snapshot of the strides we've made in 2023.
Expanding Our Network for Greater Impact:
This year marked a significant milestone for us as we joined the European Association for the Education of Adults (E2C Europe), a network dedicated to promoting quality education for all ages. Our membership with E2C Europe has opened new avenues for exchange, learning, and collaboration. It's a partnership that enhances our capacity to advocate for lifelong learning and social inclusion across the continent. We're excited about the synergies and opportunities this connection will bring, and we look forward to working closely with the E2C network to amplify our impact.
Project Highlights:
1. SCOODLE GEN Y/Z This year, we've advanced the recognition and professional development of Young Tutors in Second Chance Education (SCE) and young professionals working with marginalised youths. The SCOODLE project has been improving competencies and supporting educational reintegration. We’ve seen the development of a robust Competence Framework, local networks of young professionals have been strengthened, and we've provided practical training for Young SCE Tutors, leading to the accreditation of educators and supporting the educational journey of marginalised youths.
2. Volume Project In our quest to mitigate the risks of marginalisation and social exclusion among young people, the VOLUME project has been pivotal. We've developed preselected informal learning content to equip young individuals and professionals with key personal and professional competences. This initiative not only enhances civic participation and engagement but also fosters lifelong learning through various educational means. As we look to the future, our focus remains on empowering young adults and the professionals who guide them on the path of volunteering and civic engagement.
3. CHIMES Project Music, dance, and the performing arts have been our instruments for change in the CHIMES project. By partnering with seven countries, we've targeted disadvantaged young people, aiding them in developing transferable skills and competences. This year was filled with creative workshops, community exhibitions, and local festivals, all contributing to the employability, resilience, and self-worth of our youth. Our objectives have been clear: to enhance learning experiences, support social and economic inclusion, and provide quality learning opportunities through creative arts.
Looking Ahead: As we approach the new year, we are energised to continue our mission. The challenges we face are significant, but the impact we make is even more so. With your continued support, we will keep striving to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Join Forces for Change:
As we gear up for the Erasmus+ calls of February and March 2024, we invite organisations passionate about social inclusion, education, and youth empowerment to collaborate with us. There's a world of opportunity in partnership, and together, we can dream bigger and achieve more. If your organisation shares our vision of creating inclusive, resilient, and empowered communities, let's join hands. Reach out to us to explore how we can unite our strengths for the upcoming projects. Let's co-create solutions that leave a lasting impact.
With heartfelt thanks and warm wishes for the holiday season from all the team at EPPSi!
